I am not saying that you should start your treatment even before your TSH is elevated enough to warrant treatment, but let me tell you that as soon you get the thyroid disorder you will notice that your metabolism is not working the way it used to and the way it should, an no matter who small or more you eat, no matter what is your diet plan and what is your timings.
You have to get on your feet and you have to burn few calories every day and you have to start using your body weight to burn your fat too and for that you need to understand your thyroid disorder and you need to see what actually you need to get rid of that or at least to deal with that and today I am kind of answering the some of the very main and important question you might want to ask to get in healthy lifestyle once again.
Know Your Thyroid Disorder
How much exercise do I need? Well, I am suffering with thyroid under active thyroid myself and I know one thing, whenever you eat something, you need to walk or burn these calories before you eat something else, I would say that you should arrange walking or running for 45 minutes twice a day and then you can use stair case of your own home or you can use stepper machine for 30 minutes every day, I know it sounds too much, but you have to do that, losing weight or stay healthy is not easy with thyroid.
I cannot run, my knees hurt, what should I do? If you feel some kind of pain in your joints while you run then you need to get some multivitamins and I would say that you have to get calcium and vitamin D supplements and you have to sit in original sunlight for 30 minutes every day, I would say that you should use milk but try to use one that has extra calcium and vitamins instead of using original one and this will actually help your knees and joints and if you still feel the pain then rub some clove oil on your knees and then wear some knee splints, but you have to run.
Why am I gaining weight with my thyroid disorder? Hyperthyroidism is not actually a reason of weight gain, actually it is not the disorder, it is the craving for food that increase with the thyroid disorder and the water retention, and if you control this you will be actually able to deal with that very well, you need to keep good things in your home to eat when you get craved for food, you can eat cucumber, carrot, baby spinach, tomatoes and other healthy options, you can use fruits and healthy beans too and if you feel that you are retaining water inside then you should reduce the salt intake at once, you should ask your doc to prescribe you iodine, but other than that you don’t need to eat salt at all.
